EDIT Media presents a screening of international short experimental works that engage issues of representation and social justice and illuminate marginalized perspectives and experiences. The screening is curated by Jen Proctor and Caitlin Horsmon from works suggested by members of EDIT – Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Teaching Media. These works support the EDIT mission by showcasing a diverse array of mediamakers, with casts, characters, and aesthetics that include a range of representation with attention to diversity in terms of gender, race, age, LGBTQ status, ability, class, geography, and/or religious affiliation. EDIT is a faculty-driven initiative dedicated to researching, developing, and educating about best practices in inclusive teaching in college-level media production.
